Unique Houses
Unique Houses
What I loved about these houses is how unique they all are. Unique means the only one of its kind. These houses all are different structures, shapes and sizes. I love the crooked little house and the purple house.
What makes a house unique?
It could be the material of which it is made – where the architect experiments with something not used before, it could be the size – really small or large, it could be the house shape that is unusual, or of course its experimental design, that makes it stand out
Covered Shell house
This unique shell shaped house, designed by architect Javier Senosiain, is very unusual and bold.
Guesthouse, Vietnam
It resembles a giant tree. Its like a fairy tale themes house with bridges, twists, turns, and stair cases.
Sea Shell House
This shell house is located in Mexico.
Upside down house, Germany
This out of the ordinary house was designed for a special exhibition in Trassenheide Germany and is open to the public for visiting. Even the rooms inside are upside down.
Cube Houses, Netherlands
There are 38 small cubes and two so called ‘super-cubes’, all attached to each other. This building has now been transformed into a hostel, where guests can stay in a tilted cube room.
Toilet shaped house, Korea
This house means in hopes that it will bring attention to the world’s sanitation problems.
Crooked Little House, Poland
This “crooked little house”, an irregularly-shaped building, built in 2004, was designed by Szotyńscy & Zaleski who were inspired by the fairytale illustrations and drawings of Jan Marcin Szancerand Per Dahlberg.
Rainbow house, Wisconsin
The house was already rainbow colored when they purchased the house and decided not to change it but to embrace how different it is.
Purple House
The beautiful Victorian style home on Savannah Road in Lewes is sure to get your attention on the way to Lewes Beach. This house has a vibrant color and beautiful architectural design.
Winchester Mystery Home
This home is located in San Jose, California. The house was extended and renovated for over 36 years, but to this day it still remains unfinished. The house was originally an 8 bedroom farmhouse but when Sarah Winchester bought it she had money to spend. She transformed it into a mansion with over 24,000 sq feet with 160 rooms. The house currently is operated as a museum.
What do you think of these unique houses? Which one is your favorite? Could you actually live in any of them?
