Sweet and Sour Crockpot Meatballs

This sweet and sour meatball recipe can be made with fresh or frozen meatballs and is covered in the best sweet and sour sauce. It’s an easy slower cooker meal! This meal only takes 10 minutes to prepare.

This recipe was a huge hit at my house and can stand alone as an appetizer or be served over rice or noodles. That sweet and sour sauce is good on anything. The next time I make it I am going to substitute the meatballs for either chicken, pork or shrimp.

If your like me and have a family and a full time career meal planning is a must! Definitely add this to your meal prep.

Some Useful Tips

  • Don’t thaw the meatballs first (if you are using frozen).
  • Do not stir too often- If you stir too often you are losing a lot of heat from the slow cooker. Also, the the meatballs may break apart.
  • Don’t overcook the meatballs (especially if they are precooked).
  • You can use use fresh or frozen meatballs in this recipe. I have found that the frozen meatballs hold together better.
