Smokey Mountains
Have you ever been to the Smokey mountains in Tennessee? We went in December and had a great time and we stayed in a beautiful remote cabin in the woods. We visited the Titanic museum and Dollywood. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous.
Cabin
I rented a cabin through airbnb. It was located in Sevierville, Tennessee. It had 7 beds and 3 bathrooms. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything that we needed. The downstairs had a pool table and an arcade game. The wrap around porch was my favorite. I had my coffee out there every morning.
On the bottom level there was a hot tub also that was perfect after a long day out. Each bedroom had a king size bed with a TV. It was perfect for my family.
Titanic museum
My son is a huge titanic buff. We enjoyed the museum very much. When you entered the museum they gave you a boarding pass of someone who was aboard the titanic. It is your job to find out if your person survived or died on the titanic. As you walk around you have a walkie that explains each display, which was really interesting.
Dollywood
MY kids love rides and I wanted to experience Dollywood. It was absolutely beautiful. It was set up with christmas lights. There as a lot of places to eat. It did get chilly at night.
My daughter made me ride big bear mountain. It goes up to 48mph. My daughter loved it. I thought I was going to die on it😋
Pigeon Forge
We walked around pigeon forge and it was so beautiful. It is a mountain town and vacation area in eastern Tennessee. It is the home of Dollywood, country singer Dolly Parton’s Appalachian-themed park consisting of rides, an adjoining water park and a museum of her costumes and memorabilia.
Gatlinburg
A mountain town in eastern Tennessee, is known as a gateway to the roughly 520,000-acre Great Smoky Mountains National Park. There are so many things to do that are close by; Ober Mountain, Anakeesta and Ripley’s. We didn’t have enough time to walk around the town. That is a number one priority next time we go.
