She's Not Sorry

Synopsis

Meghan Michael is trying to find her balance between being a single mother to a teenage daughter, Sienna and being a fulltime ICU nurse. While Meghan is on duty at the hospital one day, a patient named Caitlin arrives in a coma with a traumatic brain injury. She apparently jumped from a bridge and plunged over twenty feet to the train tracks below.

But a witness comes forward about the details of the fall, it puts everything into question. Meghan has always tried to stay emotionally detached from her patients, but this time, she lets herself get too close. Could her and her daughter be the next victims?

My Review

I absolutely loved this book. I read this entire book in 48 hours; I could not put it down. This thriller had me hooked from the first page. This well executed mystery was five stars in my opinion. It kept me on the edge of my seat and made my heart start to race in a lot of parts. Kubica juggles different plots and twists. She makes you try and connect the puzzles pieces. There are jaw dropping twists in this book.

Meghan is a hard-working ICU nurse taking care of her 16-year-old daughter. When a patient comes in with an apparent suicide attempt, Meghan is assigned to her. She gets intertwined in her patient’s life. All while meeting up with Nat, an old friend from high school. Who has some drama of her own. There is also a man out there hunting women all too close to where her and her daughter live.

As for the characters, they were all believable but suspicious. There were so many secrets, it was hard to know who to trust.

The pacing is also perfect, drawing readers into the story and igniting enough curiosity to keep them reading the entire development in one sitting. As the book progresses, the tension slowly builds until the dramatic, pulse pounding ending.I would say this book had never ending twists.

I’m addicted to Mary Kubica’s brilliant and riveting writing style. I absolutely recommend it.
