Peanut Butter Pie

This homemade pie is made with an oreo crust, peanut filling and topped with peanut butter cups. This recipe is easy to make. If you love peanut butter and chocolate, then this recipe is for you. Its a no bake recipe which makes it even better.

Ingredients

  • 30 oreos (crushed)
  • 5 Tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 8oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup peanut butter (creamy not crunchy)
  • 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
  • 8 oz cool whip(softened)
  • 3 oreos (crushed) for topping
  • reeses cups ( I used 4)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350. Coat a pie pan with spray and set aside
  • put cookies in food processor or a blender
  • pour melted butter into cookie crumbs and stir
  • press crumbs into bottom and up the sides of the pie plate
  • bake for 8-10 mins. set on rack to cool
  • beat the peanut butter, cream cheese until smooth
  • add the sugar, mix well then add the cool whip and mix well
  • put the peanut butter mixture into the pie plate
  • top with peanut butter cups and 3 crushed oreos
  • chill in the fridge or freezer (if you like a more ice cream texture)

Notes

  • Keep the mixture in the freezer for more ice cream consistency
  • Use the entire oreo (cream included)
  • the block cream cheese works best
  • use creamy peanut butter
  • toppings: you can use reeses cups. reese’s pieces, crushed oreos, chocolate, caramel, crushed pretzels, mini chocolate chips or anything else!
  • put in fridge for at least 3-4 hours before serving
  • You can also use a 9 inch graham cracker or chocolate premade crust (this is a lot easier)

Storage

  • stored in fridge or freezer until ready to eat
  • cover it and it was last 5 days in the fridge and freezer
  • can freeze up to 3 months
