Our Carnival Cruise to Bahamas
Our Carnival Cruise to Bahamas
We just came back from a Carnival Cruise to the Bahamas. We took the cruise out of Charleston, SC. My family had such an amazing time. The boat we were on was the Carnival Sunshine. I was on a cruise many years ago, but my husband and kids have never been on one. I wanted my family to experience the cruise life.
My kids found the unlimited ice cream. The food was very good. Included was a sit-down dinner nightly or you can go to the buffet which was right by the pool. We did both. I enjoyed the burrito bar they had by the pool. It was delicious.
Carnival Sunshine Staterooms
The staterooms were spacious. We stayed in an Oceanview room. It had a bed and then a couch that turned into two twin beds. It was perfect for a family of four with 2 closets and a few drawers. The suitcases fit under the bed which made for more room to move around. The bathroom was small but doable.
Bahamas
Unfortunately, the day we stopped at the Bahamas port it was raining. We made the best of the weather. There was a bouncy course the kids did. We also had a dolphin encounter. Which we enjoyed very much.
Pool and Hot tubs
There was one pool and 2 hot tubs on the ship. There were times when they got crowded. The pool was slightly cold, but the kids did not seem to mind.
Lounging by the pool
There was lots of lounge chairs to enjoy the sun and the pool. You do have to get lounge chairs fairly early, or they will be all be taken. I enjoyed having a drink while soaking in the sun, while the kids went swimming.
Water slides
The ship had 3 big slides and then a small area of kiddie slides with water buckets. We went on the big slides a bunch of times. They were really fun.
Dr. Seuss Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast
They had a Dr. Seuss Green Eggs and Ham interactive breakfast. They have you a delicious breakfast and the room was decorated very cute. The staff came out in wigs and danced. At the end Dr Seuss came out and you were able to take a picture.
Ship Games
On the cruise they had plenty of games. They had miniature golf, pool, ping pong, foosball, basketball, tic tac toe and shuffleboard. We spent a lot of time on the top deck playing games. Our favorite was foosball and miniature golf.
Beautiful Cruise pictures
We spend a lot of time walking around the ship and observing the beautiful scenery.
Have you ever been on a cruise before? Did you enjoy it?
