November 9th is a standalone contemporary romance novel. This book is unique in the fact that the couple decide to meet every year on November 9th at the same place. They feel a long distance relationship won’t work.
Synopsis
Fallon meets Ben, an aspiring novelist, the day before she is scheduled to move across the country. Their ultimate attraction leads Fallon and Ben to spend her last 24 hours in LA together. Fallon’s eventful life becomes Ben’s creative inspiration for his next novel.
They decide that a long distance relationship will not work. Ben and Fallon decide to meet every year at the same place on November 9th. They agreed to meet up once a year and be together. But the rest of the year they will basically live their lives.
This works until feelings starts to get more intense. Fallon feels Ben is hiding something. When she finds out what he is hiding can their love continue?
My Opinion
I love Colleen Hoover and her novels. This was not one of my favorites. It was a good read but it was one and done for me. The idea of meeting someone once a year seems a little unconventional. They were expected to date other people and go on with their lives as if the other one doesn’t exist.
I felt after learning what Ben was hiding Fallon forgave him too fast. He did have remorse for his actions. But his actions almost got her killed and then he lied about it. I would not have been able to forgive and forget.
