Meaningful Tattoos
Meaningful tattoos
Tattoos can have deep meaning, a permanent reminder of something powerful in life or an experience that cannot and should not be forgotten. Many times, tattoos can give people a feeling of empowerment, a design that inspires and reminds them of something they have overcome. The great thing about tattoos is that are expressive and can sum up your thoughts and feelings.
It is also a great way to start a conversation, make a powerful statement or honor those who we love.
My Meaningful Tattoos
I have a total of 5 tattoos, 3 of them have special meaning to me. My newest one is an infinity sign with my kid’s names. My mom passed away in 2019 from cancer and I knew I had to get one for her. Last year I kept reading over and over the birthday cards that she had given me. I decided to tattoo her handwriting on my forearm. The year before I saw a car decal that I loved. I knew I wanted to have that tattooed on my back.
Some meaningful tattoos
Heather: “The tree stump from the book “The Giving Tree”. It symbolizes my unconditional love for my children.”
Kevin: “I was drowning in sin. Addicted to drugs, I cursed God, I was a general in satans army you could say, but God still loved me. God still rescued me, brought me from my sin and gave me a new life. Gave me a new beginning, cleaned my slate and told me Christ took the punishment.”
Stephani:” My peanut butter tattoo, my daughter got the jelly. She loved pb&j as a kid, so we got that together”.
Memorable Tattoos
Lisa Marie: “I lost my brother October 26, 2021. He battled esophageal cancer for 10 months and lost. He was 57 and full of a life and he owned a hair salon and was an amazing hairdresser for over 20 years. We were very close, I worked in that salon on and off as a shampoo girl from 16 into adulthood. His name was George, and this was my tribute to him.”
Zada: “I have a sound wave of my dads voice. With the app it can be scanned and played back”
Ali: “I’m a personal trainer, but I got “into” fitness when I was in the deepest depths of my postpartum depression with my second child, unsure if I’d make it out alive. Fitness and lifting weights helped bring me out of my rut, and now I have a personal training business that helps other women and struggling mothers do the same , so I have a dumbbell on my bicep to remind me of my passion and what I made it out of”.
Michaela: “I got single rose a few weeks ago on a trip. When my dad passed the funeral home gave me a single fake rose and now it’ll always be with me.”
Dana: “Lost my dad to suicide in September 2018. This is in his memory.”
