Happy Easter
Easter is a Christian holiday that celebrates the belief in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. In the New Testament of the Bible, the event is said to have occurred three days after Jesus was crucified by the Romans and died in roughly 30 A.D. Easter Sunday and related celebrations, such as Ash Wednesday and Palm Sunday, are considered “moveable feasts,” although, in western Christianity, which follows the Gregorian calendar, Easter always falls on a Sunday between March 22 and April 25. Easter typically falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon occurring on or after the spring equinox.
Easter Traditions
My parents were divorced when I was 10 years old. I had to split up my holidays with my parents. I used to go with my dad and his family to a restaurant every year for Easter and I would spend Easter morning with my mom. We would have breakfast together of pancakes, waffles and bacon.
My dad’s family would spend the afternoon at an Italian restaurant. We would eat delicious food and have some wine. Everyone would bring goodies to share with all the kids. The kids would walk from table to table and give out their goodies. We would always come out with bags of snacks.
With my kids, I try and keep the same traditions. We have breakfast and the kids try and locate their Easter baskets.

For Easter our family enjoys having Ham with pineapple.
