Dining at MK:
When it comes to restaurants at Magic Kingdom, there are alot of them. Such as Be Our Guest and Cinderella’s Royal Table. Most of the character dining were temporarily suspended when we went. We love Liberty Tree Tavern. It serves family style meals such as pot roast, pork loin and turkey. They serve sides such as mash potatoes and gravy, string beans and mashed potatoes. They start off with bread and butter and a delicious salad. The family style dinner is served and then dessert. Dessert is fabulous. Its vanilla ice cream on top of a huge chocolate chip cookie. We finished almost the entire thing. Everything comes with a price. For us it was well worth it !! For 2 adults and 2 kids the bill with tip was around $150. It was well worth it and we will definitely return. We have been there twice already.
There are so many snacks at Magic Kingdom. My favorite and my daughter’s favorite is the Mickey Pretzel with cheese. It is literally shaped like Mickey and it tastes great. They also enjoyed the Mickey ice cream, which of course is shaped like Mickey.
Things to do at Magic Kingdom:
- Take pictures with the characters
- eat the delicious snacks
- attempt to go on all the rides
- attend the parades ( you will see alot of characters)
- wear your mickey ears ( I own about 5 different ones 😍)
- shopping
- try one of the lovely restaurants
Some tips for Disney !
- bring snacks
- bring drinks- they are very expensive in Disney ( like $5 for a bottle of water)
- you are allowed to bring in a small cooler (check the website for the exact dimensions)
- if you are traveling with children and a stroller I would invest in a stroller fan (especially when it’s hot)
- invest in the memory maker (its expensive, but cheaper if you buy it early) it is definitely worth it
- try the mickey pretzel with cheese it is delicious 🥨
- attend the parades- they do get crowded but you will see a lot of characters
- I bought the mickey ear on amazon before our trip- they are quite expensive at Disney
- If you stay at a Disney resort you get the enter MK before the other guests
- We wanted to save money so we stayed at a time share Bonnet Creek (this was in a previous blog) within 10 min drive to Disney- it had pools, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, washer and dryer, playground
- make reservations for restaurants early ( you can make them up to 60 days in advance)
- bring a backpack
- bring cellphone charger
- attend the fireworks show
- when you arrive at MK you have to take the ferryboat or the monorail- we found the ferryboat easier with the stroller
- bring a stroller is you have kids- mine are 9 and 7 and they both sat in it and took naps
- wear comfortable shoes- you will be walking a lot
- takes breaks when you need them- it can be overwhelming for some children and adults😋
How many days should you stay at Magic Kingdom ?
When traveling to Magic Kingdom I would definitely recommend spending more than one day there. This trip we only did one day and I felt it wasn’t enough. I felt like we had to rush to get on all the rides since this was our only day there. We did miss going on a few rides this trip due to long lines. We opted out of doing the Genie + ( $15 per day per ticket) to get on a ride (similar to fast pass) earlier. Ive heard mixed reviews about it. I might try it next trip. Check of Disney World website for all the information.
How many Disney lovers do we have out there ? Which is you favorite ride ? Which is your least favorite ride and why ? What is your favorite restaurant is MK ???
