Brain Balance is a brain and body wellness program. The program is designed to help your child strengthen and improve their brain’s functioning- positively impacting many areas of their life.

The purpose of the Brain Balance Program is to engage the brain and body in such a way that it improves the way the brain functions, leading to improvements in how we feel and function in our daily lives.

Change in the brain can refer to new pathways being formed or connections becoming stronger and more efficient. New pathways are formed through sensory stimulation, life experiences and new information. These connections and pathways are important because they communicate with all regions of the brain, allowing us to successfully perform daily cognitive and physical tasks, and facilitating our executive functioning.

The strength and integration of our cognitive and physical skills build our ability to have successful executive functions – impacting our attention, decision-making and comprehension. We can notice these positive changes in our mood, memory, focus, behavior, social skills and relationships. These breakthroughs can be felt in the way we live and experience our daily lives.

My Story

My son suffers from ADHD. He was diagnosed at age 5 and started medication at age 5. He is now 9 years old and even on medication there are still issues we are facing. When his medication wears off he is moody and impulsive. Even on the medication he suffers from meltdowns and mood swings. I am very interested in the brain balance experience. Has anyone every used Brain Balance for their ADHD child ? Has it helped ? Did your child still need medication??

  1. If your child isnt see a therapist in addition to medication, he’s going to continue to have issues. Medication plus coping skills from therapy are HUGE. He may need another medication change. As he grows, his hormones change and may interact with the medication differently. I’m an adult with ADHD and I know when my medication wears off, I become more irritable and things that were a little easier to manage when the medication was in my system become a little less easier. With therapy, I can recognize those things and mitigate poor responses. Your son needs that too.

    1. He saw a therapist years ago and then last year. Didnt seem to do any good. He refused to talk. Just seems they cant get his medicine correct. He might just need a medication. adjustment. But I’ve heard mixed things about brain balance. It can help rewire the brain so medication is no longer needed. But I have idea if it actually works or not.
