Boo at the Zoo
Boo at the zoo
Boo at the Zoo takes place in the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia SC. It is a total of 11 nights of family fun. Tickets do need to be purchased prior to the event because they do sell out fast. There were lots of exciting events for the kids. The children get to trick or treat around the zoo. There are tons of Halloween blow ups, lights and even a dance party. Some of the animals are awake and are able to be seen.
Trick or Treating
When we entered the zoo we were greeted with a map of the zoo and where the candy stations would be located. The kids got to walk around the zoo and trick or treat at many different stations.
Magic Show
They had a magic show, Ray’s Moonlight Magic. This lasted close to an hour. A lot of magic tricks were performed, and he even brought some people from the audience up to the stage. The magician interacted very much with the audience. My kids enjoyed the show. He brought a woman from the audience and asked her to hand him her wedding band. During the magic trick, it was found locked in a small box with a key. The kids were trying to figure out this trick for days.
Dance Party
Eeky Freaky DJ summoned the Halloween spirits. My daughter and her friends loved the dance party. There was a big area with dancing and loud music. The kids went crazy when they heard the music from Hocus Pocus. The girls went right up to the front of the stage by the speakers and were dancing and singing the night away.
Halloween Lights
Around the zoo were Halloween blow ups and lights. It was a very festive environment. My son especially loved the Halloween dinosaur. The train area was beautiful.
There were also food trucks available were awesome snacks such as ice cream and funnel cakes. They had stands where you can buy light up toys and bubble makers. The gift shop was also open and they have an array of items from stuffed animals, backpacks, cups, snacks and clothing.
