Review of Any Day Now by Robyn Carr

I adored the bond between Sully and Sierra. She grew up with a dysfunctional and schizophrenic dad. Sully started to feel like her “father figure” always looking out for her. Sierra is a strong woman who feels lost and is looking to find herself. I love the support system she finds in Colorado and especially the romance between Sierra and Cal. Their relationship started off slow, but they had this amazing chemistry that was hard to deny.

You can read this book without reading the first book What We Find. But why would you want to miss out on the romance of Cal and Maggie? This book tells the story of Sierra and Connie, but Maggie and Cal have some parts. Cal helps Sierra with some legal troubles. Cal and Maggie are expecting their first child together and fixing up the barn for their home.

I enjoyed this book as a romance novel similar to a Hallmark movie. It was sweet but predicable. I felt the characters did not have to face any challenges to solidify their relationship. But I did like the characters. I also noticed the chapters ended kind of abruptly and didn’t flow into the next chapter.

Sierra’s one night stand stalker wasn’t brought up in the beginning of the book. It wasn’t until she thought she saw him that his character was brought up. I also found there are alot of different characters and it is kinda hard to follow. I have to this about who is who and who is married to who.

This was an all around good book to read on a rainy day in front of the fireplace.
